    Little Sisters of St. Francis

Little Sisters of St. Francis  (website)

Little Sisters of St. Francis (IRL)

Founded  1979; More Contemplative than Contemplative/Active
    Eucharistic and Marian centered.

Total Consecration and Fidelity to the Church; solitude and silence, Divine Office, Penance, "Littleness".

Founded by two Franciscan Sisters from other communities, embracing "Lady Poverty".

    Located in New Hampshire.

About this point in a post, I have been putting a communities "motto" - as long as they provide the translation from Latin!  I don't know if the Little Sisters have one, but I think this will do.

Dare to be Transformed, Like St. Francis into the likeness and image of Jesus Christ

Dearly innocent, and beautiful, and true descriptions of the state  you might be in, when discerning the call to Religious life - among  others:

"A young woman may also discover that “something”  is missing in her life, despite all the possessions she may have; all  the friends and all the “good times.” This “something” may well be a  desire to give herself more fully to God and then in the service of His  people. She finds there is a real need to commit herself to Someone — a  commitment that means sacrifice and consecration."

Beside and along with worship and prayer, their focus is on evangelization and spiritual teaching.   A Bible study for women is held once a week, and they share times for  Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with the public.  Retreats at the "Holy Hill" are for lay and Religious, individuals or  groups.  There are three guest houses nestled among the woods, as well  as the main retreat center.  Ponds, rural roads, etc. - I  would like to  go on a retreat there.  New Hampshire is a long way from here.

"Thus, our day is spent in quiet personal prayer,  solitude, communal prayer, sharing with one another, doing common  household tasks and being available to God’s people in the faithful  living out of our Consecration, as we share and bring His love and  presence with and to others."

Spirituality:  Rule of St. Francis for his first friars

United States Association of Consecrated Virgins
Consecrated virgins are consecrated by their bishop, and live in the world for the sake of Christ alone.

    Padre Pio Devotions
Devoted entirely to the life and spirituality of St. Pio of Pietrelcina. Good prayers of St. Pio.

This community is not going to have any expensive video productions, so it is my pleasure to place a general vocations video here.

If you read my posts, you know that Blogger has been sending me old posts, usually from 2009.  Maybe the feed didn't go through originally?  I don't know, but I use it as an excuse to revise old posts.  This one needed very little.  They have a simple website, appropriate to their lifestyle.  The Sisters of Christian Charity came through - twice!  They are next.
